Galleries in this section of the website cover a variety of different subjects and photographic techniques.
An album of images which have been digitally revised are available to view. Primarily this is a bit of fun using Photoshop to create an image which is completely different from the original. It is a way to improve my skills using Photoshop and to exercise my imagination. AI is avoided at all costs.

Photographs of Fireworks have been taken at organised displays. These do not happen very often but it is useful to attend such events when possible to get a selection of images that can be used for say creating Digital Revised images.

Intentional Camera Movement or ICM as it is better known. Is a simple method using deliberate camera movement to create something different. A gallery is available showing this being applied to different subjects.

Infrared photography is another technique which has been used to create images which are a bit different. These black and white images use an Infrared Filter to change colours so green for example turns white and blue to black. The effect can be very dramatic, and has been used in mainly landscape images.

Macro is another aspect of photography used where small objects fill the frame. Special lenses can be used but they are not essential, it lets the viewer see detail not normally seen with the naked eye.

Some movie clips can be found also, again these are a bit of fun. I have no knowledge of movie, pressing the red record button on the camera and hoping the camera’s built in settings will do the job is the basic technique used.

A number of my photographs have been published in magazines and newspapers, an album contains a record of the successful images. In addition I have also been requested by artists to use my images as a basis for their work. It is a great honour when this happens and I feel reflects on the quality of my images.
Photographs of interesting Cloud formations are also taken as images of rainbows. A section on photographs of the moon are included which are interesting as details of the craters on the surface of the moon can be seen.

Another technique used is called Tilt and Shift. This allows normal scenes to look like they are miniature versions of the real thing. Usually taken from an elevated point and manipulated in Photoshop the effect can be very interesting.

A Triptych album is included which is a panel of three images. This is useful as a lot of my photos are of action, and where one image on its own might not tell the whole story three help to convey what the action is about.
